Discovering and enjoying surfing through play is what we offer for the little ones.

Introduction to surfing for boys and girls aged 6 to 12**. Fun surf courses with a strong emphasis on play and learning in small groups of 3 to 6 students with an instructor, depending on sea conditions.

Because kids love to play, and especially love playing in the water, we’re launching KEIKI* SURF. We adapt our teaching methodology to children’s courses so that learning to surf is the most fun thing they’ll have this summer.

Description

This season, we’ve added martial arts and self-defense activities to our program, specifically designed for children. Our program includes surfing, educational games and outdoor activities, as well as an introduction to martial arts and children’s self-defense.

All courses run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and include 3 hours of surfing, activities, and self-defense. All equipment is included: surfboards, wetsuits, paddleboards, mats, etc.

The course and vouchers can be adapted to the availability of mothers and fathers, making it easier to balance work and family life.

Children’s Self-Defense

Our main goal through self-defense is to help young children feel safe, have fun while they learn, and channel much of their characteristic energy.

Through educational games and simple apps, they will train their instinctive responses to be effective and learn to control and handle them responsibly.

Our approach is a training process for children that also focuses on developing important personality traits such as courage, self-control, self-discipline, creativity, leadership, and decision-making.

For us, safety is paramount; therefore, we adjust the student-to-teacher ratio to meet the individual needs of the youngest participants. The courses are held in small groups of 3 to 6 students under the supervision of a certified instructor while surfing.

Availability is limited and places are scarce. We recommend booking in advance.

The course takes place at our surf school, located right on the beach on the Zarautz boardwalk. It boasts modern facilities for student comfort, with over 350 square meters fully equipped (hot showers, changing rooms, lockers, restrooms, sports area, gym, multi-activity room, etc.).

We have the best equipment for practicing and learning to surf. Softboards, bodyboards (according to age and skill level), and Xcel and O’Neill wetsuits (short and long, 4mm, 3mm, and 2mm) depending on the time of year and water temperature. We also have educational and fun materials for activities and games that complement the surf course. And all the equipment and facilities for children’s martial arts and self-defense activities are available.

We offer various course configuration options to easily adapt the course to your availability.

** The minimum age to enroll is 6 years old, without exception, and the maximum age is 12 years old.
